Job description :

As a cabin and interior design engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and certification of aircraft-specific interior design, cabin design, and support systems. Seating configuration modules, multi-segment cabin design, and cargo bay development and management will be the core area of your workflow. Custom requirement delivery and customer requirement-specific cabin customization will be the responsibilities of the team.

Core responsibilities :

    • Project planning and management
    • Expert guidance for assigned team collaboration roles
    • Design assigned parts and explore innovative advancement methods
    • Perform analysis of the assigned part on the timeline
    • Perform innovative designs and virtual demos
    • Develop custom MRO methods
    • Guide teams and communicate with project stakeholders
    • Prototype construction, testing, validation, and certification
    • Design and validate manufacturing methods
    • Design control methods and system integration methodologies
    • Technical and financial forecasting of the project

Qualifications/Requirements :

    • Mechanical Engineering OR Aerospace -
(Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR  
Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience OR
    • Advanced understanding of  aero-mechanical structural
    • Advanced understanding of  automation
    • Advanced understanding of  emergency and safety systems
    • Understanding of design principles
    • Understanding of CAE simulation and solver packages
    • Understanding of environmental systems
    • Understanding of inspection methods
    • Custom customer requirement-specific modification
    • Fire suppression systems
    • Custom cabin configurations
    • Support systems
    • Cockpit safety and security
    • US Citizenship

Desired Characteristics :

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • High proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and SAP
    • Excellent problem-solving skill-set
    • Customer requirement-focused development and project planning
    • Higher understanding of CAE simulation solvers
    • MDAO automation process management
