Lead Design and Systems integration

Location- Austin, Texas, US

Job description :

As a lead design engineer, you will be responsible for designing and upgrading our product lineup. Engine module sections, drive shaft, lubrication systems, and sub-system modules will be your primary development areas. Sub-system design and integration will be the indirect focus area of your development process. Advanced system aerodynamics characteristics knowledge and experience will be implemented in this process. Your development process will be in direct coordination with broader company goal fulfillment. 

Core responsibilities :

    • Project planning and management
    • Innovation and technically advanced product ideation and definition 
    • Technical and intellectual property implementation cycles
    • Multi-domain team integration in the project schedule
    • Virtual prototype construction 
    • Manufacturing process selection and implementation
    • Team leadership and communicating with management
    • Product advancement cycles implementation

Qualifications/Requirements :

    • Mechanical Engineering-
(Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience OR  
Advanced Degree and 5 years of experience OR
    • Advanced understanding of turbomachinery
    • Advanced understanding of system dynamics
    • Advanced understanding of rotor dynamics
    • Advanced understanding and knowledge of aero-propulsion systems
Systems design process and analysis
    • System testing and validation process
    • System control dynamics
    • US Citizenship 

Desired Characteristics :

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • High proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and SAP
    • Excellent problem-solving skill-set
    • Customer requirement-focused development and project planning
    • Higher understanding of CAE simulation solvers
    • MDAO automation process management
